Héctor Elizondo is an American actor. He’s been acting since the 1960s. His first notable role was as Mr. Grey in the 1974 film The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. The following decade, he had performances in the movies American Gigolo and The Flamingo Kid, among others. He later became further known for his supporting role as Barnard Thompson in 1990’s Pretty Woman. He next starred in Necessary Roughness, Frankie and Johnny, and Turbulence. He also starred as Jon Flint in the movie Beverly Hills Cop III. From 1994-2000, he achieved television fame for starring as Dr. Phillip Watters on Chicago Hope. He later played Joe in The Princess Diaries and its sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. As of 2011, he stars as Ed Alzate on the sitcom Last Man Standing.
