Biography:

Helen Slater was born on December 15, 1963 in Bethpage, New York, U.S. She graduated from the High School of Performing Arts. In 1982, she made her acting debut in the TV series ABC Afterschool Special. Two years later, she made her big-screen debut as the titular character in the movie Supergirl. She next played the lead in 1985’s The Legend of Billie Jean. In the 1990s, she starred in the films City Slickers, A House in the Hills, and Lassie.

She also voiced Talia al Ghul in Batman: The Animated Series. She also had a recurring character in the show Michael Hayes. In the 2000s, she played Lara-El in Smallville. She next played Jennifer Brooks in the TV series Gigantic. From 2011 to 2013, she starred as Kristin Mercer in The Lying Game. As of 2015, she plays Eliza Danvers in Supergirl.
