Biography:

Hera Hilmar was born on November 30, 1988 in Iceland. While completing a three-year program at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, she received Richard Carne scholarship and the Lilian Baylis Award.

She also played the role of Maggie in a student production of Dancing at Lughnasa while still in school. In 2008, she starred in the award-winning short film 2 Birds.

She has since starred in other films including The Quiet Storm, Anna Karenina, The Fifth Estate, We Are the Freaks, and Life in a Fishbowl, and in the television shows The Prisoner and The Tower.
