Biography:

Hillary Scott was born on April 1, 1986 in Nashville, Tennessee. She began her career after high school when she worked with singer-songwriter Victoria Shaw, gaining her some publicity.

She auditioned for American Idol twice but failed to proceed in both cases. She then met future bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood and got together to write songs, which led to the forming of Lady Antebellum.

Their debut single “Love Don’t Live Here” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs in 2008. It was followed by their self-titled debut album, which was released on April 15, 2008, debuting at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.
