Hugh Bonneville is an English actor. He debuted in 2 episodes of the TV series Chancer in 1990. Later in 1994, he had his first movie role in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. He went on to play Bob Boothby in the TV serial Mosley, as well as appeared in the films Notting Hill and Mansfield Park. His performance in the 2001 film Iris earned him a BAFTA Best Supporting Actor nomination. He next portrayed Samuel Pepys in the film Stage Beauty. In the 2010s, he came to wider prominence for his role as Robert Crawley in Downton Abbey. He simultaneously starred in the comedy series Twenty Twelve and narrated the documentary series The Hotel.
