Ice Cube is an American rapper and actor. He first gained recognition as a member of hip-hop group C.I.A. in the 1980s. He continued his rapping career with the group N.W.A. During the ’90s, he pursued a solo career releasing the albums AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted and Death Certificate in 1990 and 1991, respectively. His fame increased with his starring role in 1991’s Boyz n the Hood. His performance in the film was even positively received.
He later became further known for starring as Craig Jones in the movie Friday and its sequels Next Friday and Friday After Next. In the 2000s, he starred in the films Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Torque, Are We There Yet? and Are We Done Yet?. He continued his film career in the 2010s with roles in 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Straight Outta Compton, Barbershop: The Next Cut, and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
