Idina Menzel had her beginnings as a performer on the stage. She ultimately achieved success on Broadway. On television, she debuted as the voice of Circe in Hercules: The Animated Series. Later in the 2000s, she made her big screen debut in the movie Kissing Jessica Stein. She went on to have performances in the films Just a Kiss, The Tollbooth, Rent, and Ask the Dust. In the 2010s, she gained wider recognition for her recurring role as Shelby Corcoran in the Fox musical series Glee. Afterward, she rose to greater fame for voicing Elsa in the Disney animated movie Frozen. More recently, she starred as Cecilia Carol “C. C.” Bloom in the made-for-television film Beaches. She also had appeared as herself in Sesame Street, The Glee Project, and Julie’s Greenroom. This year, she had a role in the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet. She will reprise her role as Elsa in the upcoming Frozen sequel Frozen 2, as well as act in the film Uncut Gems.
The 47-year-old actress-singer stays in shape by trying her best to as healthily as possible. Most of the time, she sticks to food items that are packed with nutrients. “I use Earth Balance spread instead of butter, and I always have almond milk. I keep plenty of fresh fruit like those blueberries, plus raspberries and watermelon,” said Menzel. She’s into protein-rich foods with veggies on the side when it comes to lunch and dinner. “I love sushi. I eat lots of chicken, or a piece of grilled fish like tilapia, with spinach and Brussels sprouts,” she revealed. As for her go-to snacks? “Blueberries. Also, I’m trying to be gluten-free, so I enjoy the bars from Pure.”
