Biography:

Iggy Azalea was born on June 7, 1990 in Sydney, Australia. At the age of 16, she moved to the US and first gained notice after the music videos of her controversial songs “Pussy” and “Two Times” became viral on YouTube.

She then released her first full-length project, a mixtape called Ignorant Art. In 2012, she secured a recording deal with Mercury Records, then to Island Def Jam the following year.

Also in 2012, she became the first female, non-American rapper to be on XXL magazine’s annual “Top 10 Freshman” cover issue. She went on release her debut EP, Glory, on July 30, 2012. Her debut studio album The New Classic is set to be released in 2014.
