Biography:

Jackie Cruz was born on August 8, 1986 in Queens, New York. Her acting career initially started in 2007, appearing in an episode of the TV series The Shield. She next appeared with a small role on My Own Worst Enemy, after which she appeared in 2 episodes of the reality show Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami.

After this, she ventured into music, releasing her debut EP Hollywood Gypsy independently. She was also part of the girl group called Krush Velvet but they never got signed. In 2013, she finally got her break as Marisol “Flaca” Gonzales on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. In 2016, she made her film debut in 13 Steps.
