Biography:

Jake Johnson was born on May 28, 1978 in Evanston, Illinois, U.S.. He originally studied dramatic writing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He instead pursued acting when he moved to Hollywood. His first gig in the entertainment industry was in the 2007 web series Derek and Simon: The Show. Afterwards, he landed guest spots in Curb Your Enthusiasm and Lie to Me.

In 2008, he made his feature debut in the film Redbelt, playing a minor role. Subsequently, he’s had roles in Paper Heart, Ceremony, and Get Him to the Greek. In 2011, he received mainstream fame for his role as Nick Miller in New Girl. Also in the 2010s, he appeared in the films A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, No Strings Attached, 21 Jump Street, Safety Not Guaranteed, Drinking Buddies, The Pretty One, Neighbors, and recently, Jurassic World.
