Biography:
Jake McLaughlin was born on October 7, 1982 in Paradise, Butte County, California, United States. Before his acting career, he was a U.S. Army soldier. He was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq during this period. He eventually left the military and worked as a Universal Studios security guard. Upon hearing about the casting audition for the film In the Valley of Elah, he decided to read for a part.
He then landed the role of Specialist Gordon Bonner. The film was released in 2007, marking his film debut. At the same time, he appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He appeared as a soldier in the movie The Day The Earth Stood Still and as a helicopter pilot in Cloverfield. His first starring role was as Bo Olinville on the TV series Crash. In the 2010s, he had roles in the films Super 8, Warrior, Safe House, and Savages. From 2015-2018, he became widely known for starring as Ryan Booth on the ABC series Quantico.
