Biography:

James Mackay was born on 20 July 1984 in Australia. He started performing in school plays. In his later life, he attended the University of Sydney. There, he studied History and English literature. He then decided to study acting. He got his acting training from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. In 2009, he made his film debut in Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.

His first TV appearance was in Rescue: Special Ops the following year. Afterwards, he appeared in the show The Straits. He went on to have guest roles in Micro Nation and The Tomorrow People. In 2015, appeared in the film The Dressmaker. He next had a small role in Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. In 2017, he had roles in the movies Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Battle of the Sexes. He went on to join the main cast of the show Dynasty as Steven Carrington.
