Biography:

Jamie Bell was born on March 14, 1986 in Billingham, County Durham, England, UK. In 1999, he was chosen over two thousand boys for the role of Billy Elliot in the film of the same name, marking his film debut in 2000.

For his performance, he received numerous awards including a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the London Film Critics’ Circle Award for British Newcomer of the Year.

He has since appeared in other films such as Flags of Our Fathers, Jumper, Defiance, The Eagle, Jane Eyre, The Adventures of Tintin and its upcoming sequel, The Adventures of Tintin 2.
