Biography:

Jamie Foxx was born on December 13, 1967 in Terrell, Texas, United States. He made his television debut in 1991 after making several appearances in the sketch comedy television series In Living Color.

He then starred in various films before making his breakthrough for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 feature Ray, for which he won the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and BAFTA for Best Actor.

He has since starred in several mainstream films including Collateral, Miami Vice, The Kingdom and Django Unchained, among others. He is also a Grammy Award winning recording artist, releasing such albums as Peep This, Unpredictable, Intuition and Best Night of My Life.
