Jamie Lee Curtis is an American actress. Her career beginnings happened in the ’70s. She made her cinematic debut as Laurie Strode in the horror film Halloween. Her debut proved to be life-changing, gaining her recognition. This led her to star in other Hollywood features, including The Fog, Prom Night, and Terror Train. Her roles in many horror films earned her the “scream queen” title in the ’80s. Her performance in the 1983 film Trading Places got her a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. She later played the lead in A Fish Called Wanda. In the 1990s, she starred in the movie True Lies, for which she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress. She also became known for starring in the 2003 film Freaky Friday. From 2015 to 2016, she played Dean Cathy Munsch in the Fox series Scream Queens.
