Jane Curtin is an American actress whose career began as a comedian in Saturday Night Live. She was a regular cast member from 1975 to 1980. In the movies, she had her first appearance in 1979’s Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video. In the ’80s, she had roles in the films How to Beat the High Cost of Living and O.C. and Stiggs. She also gained wider recognition for starring as Allison ‘Allie’ Lowell in the CBS sitcom Kate & Allie. For her performance, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1984. Later in the 1990s, she starred as Dr. Mary Albright in the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. In the 2010s, she played Joanne Webster in Unforgettable and Charlene in The Librarians. Also, she recently had roles in the films The Spy Who Dumped Me and Ode to Joy.
