Biography:
Jane Leeves was born on 18 April 1961 in Ilford, Essex, England. She studied ballet at Bush Davies School of Dance. Afterwards, she started a career as a model. She ultimately started a film career with her debut in Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life. During this time, she also made notable appearances on the TV shows The Benny Hill Show and Throb. She later appeared on the show Murphy Brown.
Her breakthrough came in the ’90s after landing the role of Daphne Moon on the American sitcom Frasier. The show lasted 11 seasons, making her a television staple. While on the show, she has had roles in the films Miracle on 34th Street, Music of the Heart, and The Event. In the 2010s, she starred as Joy Scroggs on the TV series Hot in Cleveland.
