Biography:
Janel Moloney was born on October 3, 1969 in Woodland Hills, California, U.S. She has been working in Hollywood since the 1980s, debuting in 1987 in an episode of Roomies. In the ’90s, she had roles in the movies Dream Lover, Wild Bill, ‘Til There Was You, Desperate Measures, and The Souler Opposite. Her breakthrough role was as Donna Moss in The West Wing.
The series aired on NBC from 1999 to 2006. She also got a Primetime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2002 and 2004. During this period, she also starred in the feature film Bang Bang You’re Dead. In the 2010s, she had performances in the movies Concussion and The Leisure Seeker. From 2014 to 2017, Moloney also starred as Mary Jamison in The Leftovers.
