Biography:
Jason Butler Harner was born on October 9, 1970 in Elmira, New York, U.S.. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University. There, he finished a degree in acting. He later attended Tisch School of the Arts at NYU for his MFA. In 2000, he made his debut in the movie Trifling with Fate. During this period, he made several guest roles on the small screen.
In the movies, his first notable role was as Gordon Northcott in the 2008 film Changeling. He next appeared in the movie The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. In 2012, he became known for starring as Associate Warden E.B. Tiller on the short-lived series Alcatraz. He went on to play Kyle Rice in Non-Stop. In 2015, he starred as Varick Strauss on Ray Donovan. More recently, he starred as Roy Petty on Ozark.
