Biography:

Jason Derulo was born on September 21, 1989 in Miami, Florida, U.S. He began his career writing songs for several artists including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Pleasure P and Cassie.

After producing records for multiple artists, he secured a recording deal with minor label Beluga Heights. He then released his debut single “Whatcha Say” in May 2009. It was commercially successful, selling over five million digital downloads and peaking at Number 1 in the US and New Zealand.

His second single, “In My Head” was released in December 2009. He then went on to release his second album, Future History in 2011 and his third, Tattoos, in 2013.
