Biography:
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was born on April 22, 1966 in Seattle, Washington. He started his acting career in the 1990s, though he became mostly known for his work on the small screen with his first lead role on the short-lived series The Burning Zone from 1996 to 1997. He gained wider recognition in the mid 2000s when he starred as John Winchester on Supernatural, though it was his recurring role as Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy that really expanded his career.
In the 2010s, he became more active on the big screen with performances in the feature films The Losers, The Resident, The Possession, Red Dawn, and most recently Solace and Desierto. He also played Bruce Wayne’s father in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. From 2012 to 2013, he starred on the TV series Magic City. He’s more active on television now, too, with notable roles on The Good Wife, Extant, and The Walking Dead.
