Biography:
Jennifer Ehle was born on December 29, 1969 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. She made her stage debut as a toddler when she appeared in the Broadway revival of A Streetcar Named Desire in 1973.
In 1992, she appeared as Calypso in the television adaptation of The Camomile Lawn. She gained wider recognition when she starred as Elizabeth Bennet in the miniseries Pride and Prejudice, for which she won a BAFTA award.
Her first feature film role was as Rosemary Leighton-Jones in the 1997 movie Paradise Road. She has since starred in other well-known films including Sunshine, The King’s Speech, Contagion and Zero Dark Thirty.
