Biography:

Jennifer Tilly was born on September 16, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. She attended Stephens College in Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater. Her first television appearance was in an episode of Oh Madeline.

She first gained recognition for her role as Gina Srignoli in Hill Street Blues. She has since appeared in other TV dramas including Out of Practice, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Modern Family.

Her film breakthrough was when she played Blanche “Monica” Moran in The Fabulous Baker Boys. In 1994, she received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Bullets Over Broadway.
