Jeremy Allen White was born on February 18, 1991 in Brooklyn, New York. When he was 13, he decided he wanted to pursue acting. In 2006, he made his television debut in an episode of Conviction. That same year, he made his cinematic debut in the movie Beautiful Ohio. His next roles were the films The Speed of Life and Afterschool. Right this time he also appeared in two episodes of Law & Order.

He continued his acting career in the 2010s. In 2011, he became known for his role as Phillip “Lip” Gallagher, one of the main casts of the comedy-drama series Shameless. For his role, he was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. While on the show, he had roles in the films The Time Being, Movie 43, Bad Turn Worse, and Rob the Mob.
