Jesse Tyler Ferguson is an American actor. He made his debut in 2000, acting in the TV film Sally Hemings: An American Scandal. He later made his movie debut in Ordinary Sinner the following year. His first notable role on television was as Richie Velch in The Class. He also appeared in two episodes of Ugly Betty as Dr. Gabe Farkus. Finally, the actor got his breakthrough after landing the role of Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family, a role he played for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020.
His role on the show had earned him five Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. While on the series, he’s had performances in the film Wonderful World and the play 8. Apart from his work on the big and small screen, Ferguson is also active as a theater actor.
