Biography:

Jessie Buckley was born on 28 December 1989 in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. Starting her career on stage, she soon ventured into film and television. In 2014, she made her TV debut in an episode of Endeavour. Her next role was her portrayal of Marya Bolkonskaya in the miniseries War & Peace.

In 2017, she made her film debut in Beast. That same year, she starred as Lorna Bow in the BBC TV drama Taboo, as well as played Honor Martin in the BBC One drama The Last Post. After this, she starred in the feature film Wild Rose, as well as portrayed Marian Halcombe in the miniseries The Woman in White. This year, she played Lyudmilla Ignatenko in the HBO miniseries Chernobyl.
