English singer Jessie J started her performing career when she was younger on stage. Years later, she came to fame after the release of her debut single “Do It Like a Dude”. She then released her debut album Who You Are in 2011, which also spawned the singles “Nobody’s Perfect”, “Who You Are”, “Domino” and “Laserlight”. Her second album, Alive, was released in 2013 with the hit singles “Wild” and “It’s My Party”. The song “Bang Bang” from her third album Sweet Talker was another huge success for her. She’s also made herself a television staple by appearing as a judge in The Voice UK and The Voice Australia. Her upcoming album, R.O.S.E., will be released in 2018. She’s also worked as a voice actress, playing Brooke in the 2016 animated movie Ice Age: Collision Course.
The performer is very cautious when it comes to the food she eats. For one, she avoids sugar. Despite the temptations to eat processed foods and junk foods as well, she mostly focuses on healthy ones. In an interview, she got candid about her efforts to have a clean diet. She said:
“Because I can’t have caffeine, sugar was something that was kind of my little go-to when I was tired, and I think I depended on it too much. So I just want to pull back before I turn into a sugar monster. I don’t know if I should publicly say that I’ve cut it out because it’s only my fifth day and in two weeks it could have gone all tits up! But so far I’ve completely cut it out to, even in fruits and vegetables, to try and rebuild good bacteria in my body, and just be healthier and do a natural cleanse. Right now, I really miss manuka honey—it’s a natural antiseptic that I usually have every day.”
