Biography:

Jesy Nelson was born on June 14, 1991 in Romford, London. She was passionate in drama and music as a student, leading her to further her studies at the Abbs Cross Academy and Arts College in Hornchurch. She also attended the Sylvia Young and Yvonne Rhodes theatre school.

In 2011, she auditioned for the reality show The X Factor where she sang Jazmine Sullivan’s “Bust Your Windows”, receiving praise from judges Tulisa Contostavalos and Louis Walsh.

She then joined the group Little Mix, which was formed exclusively in the show. They went on to win the competition and signed with Syco Records right after their victory.
