Jet Li is a Chinese actor. His acting career spans decades, debuting in the 1982 film Shaolin Temple. In the ’90s, he became known for starring in Once Upon a Time in China and its sequels. He next played the title role in the film Fong Sai-yuk. In 1998, he made his Hollywood debut in the movie Lethal Weapon 4.
In the 2000s, he worked on more international projects, leading him to gain wider recognition. He starred in the Hollywood films Romeo Must Die, The One, and Cradle 2 the Grave. He also starred in the French film Kiss of the Dragon, as well as starred in Zhang Yimou’s film Hero. He also starred opposite Jason Statham in the film War. In 2008, he starred in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. In the 2010s, he starred in the Hollywood movies The Expendables and its sequels. He also played The Emperor of China in the 2020 film Mulan.
