Biography:
Jim Caviezel was born on September 26, 1968 in Mount Vernon, Washington, USA. He is a former athlete who played college basketball until a foot injury put a halt to his sports career.
He then attended University of Washington where he shifted his focus to acting. He made his screen debut with a small role in Gus Van Sant’ 1991 film My Own Private Idaho.
In 1998, he had his breakthrough performance in Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line. He has since appeared in such films as Ride with the Devil, The Counte of Monte Cristo, and The Passion of the Christ, among others.
