Biography:

Jim Sturgess was born on May 16, 1981 in London, United Kingdom. He graduated from University of Salford in 1999. In 2007, he got his breakthrough for his portrayal of Jude in the musical film Across the Universe. This continued with his starring roles in some films, including in 2008’s 21, alongside Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, and Kate Bosworth.

He also portrayed George Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl. In the next few years, he has starred in such films as Fifty Dead Men Walking, Crossing Over, The Way Back and starred opposite Anne Hathaway in the romantic drama One Day. His most recent films are Stonehearst Asylum and Kidnapping Freddy Heineken. He’ll star in the upcoming films London Fields and The Big Shoe.
