Biography:
Jodie Foster was born on November 19, 1962 in Los Angeles, California. When she was five, she landed her first acting role in the TV show Mayberry R.F.D.
In 1976, she rose to prominence for her role as Iris in Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
She then went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1989 for her role as Sarah Tobias in The Accused. In 1991, she won her second Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in The Silence of the Lambs.
