Biography:

Joelle Carter was born on October 10, 1972 in Thomasville, Georgia, U.S.. She was admitted to Augusta State University on a full athletic scholarship. Her career as an actress started in the late 1990s, appearing in some TV shows and movies. In 1999, she made her big screen debut as Amy in the comedy feature Just One Time. In the 2000s, she appeared in the films High Fidelity, American Pie 2, and Crazy Little Thing.

It was, however, her work on television that was more prolific. After making guest appearances in several television shows, she became part of the main cast, playing the role of Ava Crowder in Justified from 2010 to 2015. For her role, she received a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also starred as Kate in the 2014 feature Jessabelle.
