John C. Reilly is an American actor and comedian. He has also produced and wrote films. He debuted in 1989’s Casualties of War. During the ’90s, he had performances in the movies Days of Thunder, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The River Wild, Hard Eight, and Boogie Nights, among others. In 2002, he starred in the film Chicago, which got him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also had notable roles in Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York and The Aviator. In 2007, he played the lead in the film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, getting a Golden Globe nomination. As of 2010, he plays the title role on the comedy series Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. He is the voice of Wreck-It Ralph in the animated movie Ralph Breaks the Internet. For his portrayal of Oliver Hardy in the film Stan & Ollie, he was nominated for Best Actor at the Golden Globes.
