Biography:
Jon Hamm was born on March 10, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.. He began acting at an early age, often landing roles in school productions. After he graduated from high school, he attended University of Texas before transferring to the University of Missouri. There, he got into acting again after successfully auditioning for a local production.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1993. Prior to becoming an actor, he was a teacher to eighth-graders at his high school. He started his TV career in 1997 in an episode of Ally McBeal. Known for his roles in the shows Providence and The Division in the early 2000s, he gained mainstream fame for playing Don Draper in Mad Men from 2007 to 2015. Some of his films are The Town, Sucker Punch, The Congress and Million Dollar Arm.
