Biography:
Jon Seda was born on October 14, 1970 in Manhattan, New York, U.S.. His career started in the early ’90s, debuting in the 1992 boxing film Gladiator. The rest of the decade saw him acting in such films as Zebrahead, Carlito’s Way, 12 Monkeys, Boys on the Side, and Primal Fear. In 1997, he portrayed Chris Pérez in the biographical film Selena.
On TV, his first starring role was as Detective Paul Falsone in Homicide: Life on the Street. Afterward, he played recurring role Matty Caffey in Third Watch. In the 2000s, Seda starred as Jake Shaw in UC: Undercover, Damian ‘Dame’ Ruiz in Kevin Hill, and Ray Blackwell in Close to Home. In the 2010s, after starring as Nelson Hidalgo in Treme, he gained more popularity playing Antonio Dawson in Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice.
