Biography:
Jonathan Rhys Meyers was born on July 27, 1977 in Drimnagh, County Dublin, Ireland. His first film appearance came in the 1994 feature A Man of No Importance. He then played a substantial role in the 1996 movie Michael Collins.
He has since starred in several motion pictures including The Loss of Sexual Innocence, Ride with the Devil, Prozac Nation, Alexander, Match Point, and Mission: Impossible III, among others.
He then portrayed Elvis Presley in the miniseries Elvis and won a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his performance. From 2007 to 2010, he became known for his portrayal of King Henry VIII in the television series The Tudors.
