Biography:

Joseph Fiennes was born on May 27, 1970 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, UK. He trained for three years at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he graduated in 1993.

He made his first professional stage appearance in the West End in The Woman in Black, followed by A Month in the Country. He then became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company for two seasons.

In 1996, he made his feature film debut in Stealing Beauty. He then starred in Oscar-nominated films, Elizabeth and Shakespeare in Love, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
