Biography:

Joss Stone was born on April 11, 1987 in Dover, Kent, England. She shot to fame after the release of her debut album Soul Sessions in 2003. Her debut also made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist. She then became the youngest British female singer whose debut album topped the UK Albums Chart.

Her second album Mind Body & Soul, peaked at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and remained at the top for one week. The album also produced the hit single, “You Had Me”. Both the album and the song garnered a Grammy Awards nomination.

In 2007, she released her third album, Introducing Joss Stone, which also became highly successful.
