Biography:

Joy Lauren was born on October 18, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. When she was 11, she relocated to Hollywood with her mom to become an actress. She was only 14 when she finished high school. In 2002, she made her television debut in The Division, appearing in three episodes. She also appeared in an episode of Lizzie McGuire. Her next acting gig was in Still Standing.

She gained her first starring role as Danielle Katz in the hit series Desperate Housewives. She played the said role from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, she also made guest appearances in other shows such as The Closer and Shark. In 2007, she made her first film appearance in Tooth. Her most recent acting work was in the 2012 movie House of Dust.
