Biography:

Judd Apatow was born on December 6, 1967 in New York City. He started performing stand-up comedy during his senior year of high school. After his high school graduation, he moved to Los Angeles where he enrolled in the screenwriting program at the University of Southern California.

He has since become known for his work in the cult television series Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared and Girls and has received a Primetime Emmy Award for his work in The Ben Stiller Show.

He is also known for his directorial work in the comedy films The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Funny People, Bridesmaids (for which he won an AFI Award), Wanderlust, and The Five-Year Engagement, among others.
