Biography:

Jude Law was born on December 29, 1972 in Lewisham, London, England. He started acting with the National Youth Music Theatre in 1987 and appeared in his first television role in the TV film The Tailor of Gloucester in 1989.

His first critical breakthrough was his role as Dickie Greenleaf in The Talented Mr. Ripley. His performance earned him Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor, and won him the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

He received his second Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his role as W.P. Inman in Anthony Minghella’s Cold Mountain.
