Judi Shekoni was born on March 31, 1982 in Gorton, Greater Manchester, UK. Her career in the entertainment industry began as an advice columnist for LIVE TV. She then began acting in the late 1990s, first appearing in the movie The World Is Not Enough in an uncredited role. In the early 2000s, she appeared as a guest star in several television shows, including Casualty, Fat Friends, and Time Gentlemen Please.

Her first notable role was as Marjorie “Precious” Hudson in the popular soap opera EastEnders, gaining her further recognition. She ultimately started a career in Hollywood with appearances in NCIS, Brothers & Sisters, and Backstrom. She currently plays the role of Joanne in Heroes Reborn.
