Biography:
Judy Reyes was born on November 19, 1967 in The Bronx, New York, U.S.. After high school, she enrolled at Hunter College in Manhattan. This is where she began her interest for acting. In 1992, she made her debut with a guest role on Law & Order. She also made his film debut in Jack and His Friends that same year. The rest of the ’90s saw her appear in the films Lena’s Dreams, Went to Coney Island, and Bringing Out the Dead.
She started the 2000s with a role in the movie King of the Jungle. She then gained wider recognition for playing the role of Nurse Carla Espinosa on Scrubs. Simultaneously, she starred in some TV movies, such as Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story. After Scrubs, she starred in the movie Gun Hill Road. From 2013 to 2016, she starred as Zoila Diaz on Devious Maids.
