Julia Michaels was born on November 13, 1993 in Davenport, Iowa, USA. She joined the Hollywood Pop Circuits where she started songwriting. As a songwriter, she had been credited with writing songs for such singers as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Fifth Harmony. Ultimately, she pursued a solo career as a recording artist, releasing her debut single “Issues”.

This earned her greater recognition in the music industry, as well as got Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Song of the Year. She later released her second single “How Do We Get Back to Love”. Her first EP Nervous System came next.
