Biography:

Julianne Nicholson was born on July 1, 1971 in Medford, Massachusetts, USA. She attended Hunter College where she majored in general studies but left after two years to pursue acting.

She made her first feature film role in Peter Yates Curtain Call. Her breakthrough came as Jennifer in the 1999 film The Love Letter.

She has since appeared in such films as Passion of Mind, Tully, Speakeasy, Little Black and Kinsey, among others. She is also well-known for her roles as Megan Wheeler in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and as Esther Randolph in Boardwalk Empire.
