Biography:

Justin Baldoni was born on January 24, 1984 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.. Before becoming an actor, he was a disc jockey at a local radio station. Though he originally aspired to become a professional athlete, that changed when he was injured in his senior year, though he still managed to be accepted at the California State University and joined its track team. When things went south, he headed to Los Angeles where he was encouraged to pursue acting.

He made his TV debut in The Young and the Restless in 2004 and went on to play guest roles in Wedding Daze, JAG, and Charmed before landing his first notable role in Everwood as Reid Bardem. After appearing on the television shows Single Ladies and Happy Endings, he gained recognition for his role as Rafael Solano in Jane the Virgin, his new-found popularity made possible by the show’s mainstream success.
