Biography:

Kate Capshaw was born on November 3, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. She moved to New York to pursue a career in acting where she landed her first role in the soap The Edge of the Night.

In 1984, she made her film debut with Dreamscape. That same year, she gained international recognition after being cast as Wilhelmina “Willie” Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

During the production of the movie, she met director Steven Spielberg, whom she later married on October 12, 1991. She has since starred in other films including Black Rain, Just Cause, Private Affairs, and The Love Letter.
