Biography:

Kate Ford was born on December 29, 1977 in Salford, Greater Manchester. She was trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

Her first acting role came in 2002 when she appeared in a spin-off episode of the popular soap opera EastEnders. That same year, she replaced Tracy Barlow in the long-running ITV soap Coronation Street, a role she played from 2002 to 2007.

For her work in the Coronation Street, she received a British Soap Award for “Best Bitch” in 2004 and 2005. After leaving the soap, she filmed her first role in the detective drama Blue Murder.
