Biography:

Kate McKinnon was born on January 6, 1984 in Sea Cliff, New York, United States. After high school, she attended Columbia University where she graduated with a degree in theater. During her time in the university, she co-founded the musical improv comedy group Tea Party. In 2007, she joined the main cast of The Big Gay Sketch Show. This marked her debut on television.

Afterwards, she appeared on the TV series Vag Magazine. She next worked as a voice actress for Robotomy, as well as for The Venture Bros.. In 2012, she joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. This gained her mainstream recognition. She also works as a voice actress for Nature Cat. She also recently appeared in the films Sisters, Ghostbusters, and Masterminds.
